Environmental and climate protection, as well as a sustainable, responsible use of resources, are important to us in the production of print products. Since 2020, all paper purchased by Burda has come exclusively from sustainably managed European forests and is 100% FSC® and/or PEFC-certified.
EU Ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel is a European eco-label for the identification of consumer products and services. At Burda Druck we meet these requirements and are able to label our print products accordingly.

As part of the CO₂e accounting of Hubert Burda Media, a complete CO₂e balance for Burda Druck was also prepared in accordance with the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol standard – including all three scopes.

Climate Alliance Offenburg
As an important employer and energy consumer, Burda Druck has already achieved measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and participates in the climate initiative of the city of Offenburg.
Environmental Pact Bavaria
Since 2021, Burda Druck's Nuremberg site has been participating in the Environmental and Climate Pact Bavaria, working together with the Bavarian State Government to advance environmental and climate protection in companies.
